A rosette-forming, hairy biennial or short-lived perennial with ovate to lance-shaped, toothed, dark green leaves and, in early summer, tall, upright spikes of cream flowers with purple-speckled throats.
Height 60cm (2ft), Spread 50cm (1.5ft), 1-2 years to maturity.
