A hardy, vigorous, woody, deciduous vine with lobed, dark grey-green leaves turning orange or red in autumn, dense panicles of fragrant, insignificant greenish-white flowers in early summer followed by clusters of large, edible, yellow to yellow-green fruit ready for harvest in mid-autumn.
