A small, bushy evergreen shrub with small, glossy, mid-green, convex leaves. In spring and summer it bears small, dull white flowers, followed, in autumn, by black berries.
Height 2.5m (8ft), Spread 1.5m (5ft), 20-50 years to maturity.
