A bushy, clump-forming, tuberous perennial with toothed, pinnate, purple- to black-flushed, dark green leaves and, from midsummer to early autumn, pale lavender flowers with darker lavender bands down the centre of each petal.
Height 60cm (2ft), Spread 50cm (1.5ft), 1-2 years to maturity.
