An upright, conical, frost hardy, evergreen tree with leathery, narrowly lance-shaped, grey-green leaves, paler beneath, and panicles of tiny, fragrant, creamy-white flowers in early summer followed by green fruit ripening dark purple.
Height 4.5m (15ft), Spread 3m (10ft), 10-20 years to maturity.
