Cornus alba (Red-Barked Dogwood)

 

A striking plant which produces a thicket of bare bright red stems red in winter. It thrives on a damp site. It produces fragrant flowers in little domed creamy white clusters. Good for autumn colour.
Height & Spread 2m (6ft), 5-10 years to maturity.
