An evergreen shrub with quite stunning young leaf growth. The foliage, especially in spring, opens in vivid red and changes to pinkish white before reverting to adult green. All these colours are present on the plant at the same time. Panicles of small, cream-white flowers in spring.
Height 4m (13ft), Spread 2.5m (8ft), 10-20 years to maturity.
