Malus domestica 'Discovery' (Dessert Apple) [Group 3]

 

A dessert apple that has a fairly compact habit. White flowers are followed by fruit that ripens from August to September. Fruits on tips and spurs. Ideal pollinator for 'Cox's Orange Pippin'. Was originally known as Thurston August. Good disease resistance and also tolerant to frost.
Height & Spread 8m (26ft), 5-10 years to maturity.
Ultimate size dependent on rootstock.
