A vigorous, upright, deciduous tree with ovate to oval,toothed, dull green leaves and pale pink flowers in spring. The best culinary variety and the most widely planted cooking apple in Britain. Large green fruits, sometimes flushed with red are produced from October to November with firm, white, acidic flesh. Heavy cropping. Requires 2 pollinators.
