Salix caprea (Goat Willow)

 

A deciduous shrub or small tree with broad leaves and soft silky, silvery catkins, produced in early spring before the new leaves appear. The male and female catkins are on different plants.
Height 12m (39ft), Spread 8m (26ft), 20-50 years to maturity.
