A vigorous, upright to spreading, multi-stemmed, spiny, deciduous shrub with lobed, mid-green leaves, turning yellow in autumn, and clusters of insignificant, yellow-green flowers in mid-spring followed by round, translucent, red, edible fruit ready for harvest in midsummer.
