An upright, mid-sized, deciduous shrub with small, mid-green leaves. In summer and autumn it bears small, single flowers with crimson tube and sepals, and violet-purple petals. Can be used for hedging or as a specimen shrub.
Height 2.5m (8ft), Spread 1.5m (5ft), 5-10 years to maturity.
