A bulbous perennial. It has dark green, linear leaves and in summer, bears fairly open, flat flowers with prominent anthers on tall, leafy stems. The flowers are dark pink with darker freckles and pale, wavy margins to the petals.
Height 1.5m (5ft), Spread 50cm (1.5ft), 2-5 years to maturity.
