Quercus texana 'New Madrid' (Spanish Oak)

A vigorous, conical, deciduous tree with colourful foliage. New leaves emerge deep burgundy-red in spring, turning dark green, before developing red and orange tints in autumn. Small male and female catkins appear in March, followed by acorns in late summer to early autumn.
Height 15m (49ft), Spread 10m (32ft), 20-50 years to maturity.
