A climbing, deciduous shrub with arching, thorny stems bearing pinnate leaves divided into ovate, glossy, toothed, dark green leaflets and, from summer into autumn, clusters of lightly fragrant, semi-double, faintly pink-flushed, white flowers with pink stamens.
