A compact, clump- or mound-forming, slowly-spreading, herbaceous perennial bearing pinnate leaves divided into lance-shaped, coarsely-toothed, dark green leaflets with creamy-white margins and slender, erect, branching stems bearing oval spikes of deep maroon flowers throughout summer.
Height & Spread 60cm (2ft), 2-5 years to maturity.
