An upright to spreading, deciduous shrub or small tree bearing palmate, yellow to yellow-green leaves with red-flushed margins, the entire leaf turning yellow-orange in autumn. Inconspicuous, red flowers in spring are followed by winged, red-flushed, green seed pods.
