An upright, bulbous perennial with lance-shaped, wavy, purple-mottled, dark grey-green leaves and, in mid- to late spring, a sturdy, stem bearing a bowl-shaped, orange-red flowers with yellow margins.
Height 30cm (1ft), Spread 20cm (8in), 1-2 years to maturity.
