Quercus palustris (Pin Oak)

 

A large, vigorous, broadly conical, deciduous tree with pendent lower branches, elliptic, glossy, deeply lobed, mid-green leaves turning scarlet to reddish-brown in autumn. Inconspicuous flowers in spring are followed by spherical, brown fruit in autumn.
Height 20m (66ft), Spread 12m (39ft), 20-50 years to maturity.
