A scrambling, deciduous shrub with arching, thornless canes, white flowers in summer, and long, conical, dark red, edible fruit with a rich tangy flavour from midsummer until early autumn.
LY 654 is a thornless form which has been selected for consistent health and performance. The brittle canes can be easily damaged by strong winds unless tied in securely to wires, ideally as a fan.
