Geum coccineum (Avens)

A clump-forming, deciduous perennial with upright, softly hairy, pinnate basal leaves divided into kidney-shaped, dark green leaflets and, from late spring to late summer, cymes of orange or red flowers with spreading petals and prominent, yellow stamens.
Height 50cm (1.5ft), Spread 30cm (1ft), 2-5 years to maturity.
