A compact, bushy, rounded, evergreen shrub with oval, glossy, bright green leaves and, in late spring and early summer, small, fragrant, purple-brown flowers followed by dark grey seed capsules.
Height 1m (3ft), Spread 75cm (2.5ft), 10-20 years to maturity.
