A clump-forming, deciduous perennial with erect, strap-shaped, mid-green leaves and sturdy, upright stems bearing rounded umbels of violet-blue flowers with a purple stripe down the centre of each petal in late summer and early autumn.
Height 50cm (1.5ft), Spread 30cm (1ft), 2-5 years to maturity.
