Rhus typhina (Stag's Horn Sumach)

 

An upright, suckering, deciduous shrub or small tree with hairy stems bearing pinnate leaves divided into ovate, bright green leaflets turning orange and red in autumn. Erect conical panicles of yellow-green flowers in summer are followed by spherical, hairy, red fruit on female plants.
Height 2m (6ft), Spread 3m (10ft), 10-20 years to maturity.
