|
|
Dwarf, compact, evergreen shrub. Bluish-violet flowers 4-5cm across. A most distinctive and striking colour. Will thrive in full sun if roots are kept moist, but some shelter from cold winds is desirable and partial shade should be provided if possible. The flowering season is from April to May (Possibly even to June) when their blossom is often produced with such freedom that the foliage is completely hidden.
Height 2.5m (8ft), Spread 1.5m (5ft), 10-20 years to maturity.
