Quercus rubra (Red Oak)

 

A spreading oak tree with attractive leaves which are often very large. These are coloured yellow when they first unfurl, changing to dark green in a few weeks before turning to a bright red in autumn.
Height 30m (98ft), Spread 20m (66ft), 20-50 years to maturity.
