A large, beautiful tree with a pyramidal habit and slightly aromatic foliage. The leaves are lobed with widespread, tapering fingers, glossy green and smooth. They take on brilliant autumn colours of crimson, orange and purple which tends to last for over a month. The bark is cork-like in texture and grey-green in colour.
